The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan has opposed any possible move by the state to “proscribe legitimate political parties”.
The commission expressed deep concern that “nonpolitical powers may take advantage of the unfolding situation — including the sudden resignations of PTI leaders — to further their own agenda.”
