Referring to the incidents of May 9, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has asked, “Is this how we repay our martyrs and ghazis?”
Addressing the Takreem-i-Shuhada Convention in Islamabad, he said “brutality” was witnessed on May 9.
“And my question is, if the PTI or its chief had objections over his [Imran Khan’s] arrest — history is full of such arrests. Did anyone even break a flower pot [over those arrests]?” he asked.
He alleged that prior to his arrest from the Islamabad High Court, Imran had instructed “mobs where they had to go in case of his arrest”.
