PROTEST: Scores of relatives and co-workers who gather scrap from the roads, blocked traffic on Wednesday near Thatha bridge on Canal Road in Faisalabad over alleged the killing of scrap picker Abdul Rasheed by a scrap collection dumper by the Faisalabad Waste management company.

They seized the killer dumper into their custody and spread all the loaded garbage on Canal Road as a protest. They told reporters that for the last few days WMC driver Abdul Rehman and his accomplices were daily quarrelling with poor scrap pickers to force them to replace burst tyres or cleaning of dumpers and to take revenge, drivers of dumpers allowed a non-employee and unlicenced driver, known as Babloo, to drive the dumper who allegedly ran over dumper on scrap picker Abdul Rashid over this grudge.

They demanded immediate arrest of Babloo and his accomplices over which police impounded the dumper and arrested Babloo and his accomplices over which protest was ended.
