BAHAWALPUR: Four people including a minor boy were killed while as many suffered injuries in three incidents on Sunday.

Police sources and Rescue 1122 officials of Ahmedpur East city said there were four robbery incidents near Shahiwala village of Yazman. Three people were shot at and injured when they put up resistance to robbers in Cholistan in the early hours of Sunday. The rescuers said one of them died while Noor Ahmed and Nazeer Ahmed were shifted to the THQ hospital of Yazman in a critical condition.

PRO Umar Saleem said DPO Muhammad Faisal Kamran rushed to the desert area and ordered a search operation against the criminals. He said police arrested 14 suspects with illegal weapons and a case would be registered against them under the Anti-Terrorism Act.

Rescue 1122, Bahawalpur, officials said two persons died and as many were injured in a car-motorcycle collision at Sammasatta-Balochan Chowk near here. Shahid, 35, and Sohail, 14, lost their lives while Muhammad Rashid, 35, and Shoaib, 7, were shifted to the Bahawal Victoria Hospital (BVH).

A tractor-trolley fatally hit a labourer at a petroleum service near Baghdadul Jadid railway station on University Road. Police registered a case against the driver.
