There is just so much stuff that remain scattered around in the house without a dedicated place; it could be your school or college-related stationary, or daily use stuff like pins, buttons, rubber bands or paper clips, etc. All these things are useful, however, they look messy and can get lost if not placed properly.

So today, we are giving these little things their proper place by making an organiser from plastic bottles. The organiser can be useful in various other ways, for instance, you can load it with dry fruit, chocolates and candies when your friends or other guests come.

So, let’s start:

Things you need:

  1. Empty plastic bottles (small, at least six)

  2. Scissors or paper cutter

  3. Hardboard piece

  4. Stick (you can use barbecue stick)

  5. Any coloured paper

  6. Ribbon

  7. White glue or hot glue

Directions:

  1. If you are using six bottles, cut the hardboard in round shape, the diameter should be 6.5 or 7-inches; see picture 2.

  2. Mark and cut the bottles two inches above the bottom as, in picture 3.

  3. Arrange and see how you will place the bottoms on the circular piece of hardboard, picture 4.

  4. Make a hole in the centre of the hardboard, this is where you will insert the stick, picture 5.

  5. Cover the hardboard with coloured paper and insert the stick in the centre, picture 6.

  6. Paste the ribbon on the edges of plastic bottles’ bottoms, pictures 7 and 8.

  7. You can bring variations to the design. For instance, I have inserted one bottle bottom in the stick, you can leave this step if you want, picture 9.

  8. Cover the stick with the coloured paper and paste all the bottoms around it on the hardboard, picture 10.

  9. To give the finishing touches, I cut out a flower from pink paper and drew a smiley and then pasted it in the middle of the stick and a pompom on the top.
