GUJAR KHAN: Rawat police recovered six stolen motorcycles and arrested two people for stealing them on Saturday.

SP Saddar Kamran Hameed said that the suspects were involved in stealing the vehicles from urban and rural areas of Rawat. He said they were also involved in various other robberies. Further investigation is underway and their other accomplice would be arrested soon.

Meanwhile, a man was arrested and 30 bottles of imported liquor were seized from him. The suspect was involved in the supply of liquor to people of the area. A case has been registered against him and further investigation is underway.

Furthermore, two suspects were arrested by Kahuta police on Saturday for aerial firing during a wedding ceremony. According to details, father of the groom, Azhar Mehmood died on the spot after receiving bullet injuries while a 14-year-old boy along with another woman was also injured. Police registered a case under Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) sections 302, 324, and 201. SHO Kahuta said other suspects would soon be arrested.

SP Hameed said Rawalpindi police has started a crackdown against people involved in aerial firing and putting such videos on social media. He said firing is a dangerous act which put the lives of innocent people at risk. Strict action would be taken against people involved in such crimes, he added.
