Used and deprived

Published January 14, 2021

THE Hub power plant in Balochistan is one of the largest private power projects in the country. It was meant for facilitating the people of the province with efficient power supply when it was established. However, the province and its people remain neglected as the electricity generated by this plant is supplied to other provinces. If the power plant is meant to facilitate the people of other provinces, then it should have been set up over there.

The power plant causes harmful effects on the environment and health of the residents. Many of them have contracted dangerous diseases due to it, yet they remain deprived of its benefits.
