LAHORE: A concert was held at the Punjab Institute of Language, Art and Culture (Pilac) in memory of the late Reshma in connection with her seventh death anniversary on Tuesday.

The singers who sang many of Reshma’s popular songs were her son Sawan and his wife Mehru Reshma.

Mehru had a striking resemblance with the voice of Reshma and when she sang her famous songLambi Judaee, the audience appreciated her with a thunderous round of applause.

Sawan also sang songs sung of his late mother, including Dhamal, dedicated to Hazrat Lal Shehbaz Qalandar.

Speaking on the occasion, Pilac Director General Dr Sughra Sadaf said Reshma was an iconic folk singer who ruled millions of hearts. She said artistes spread love and peace and Reshma not only won hearts of many in Pakistan but across the border too.
