NNG basketball coaching camp concludes

KARACHI: Over thirty young boys and girls participated in the basketball coaching camp organised by North Nazimabad Gymkhana Trust (NNGT) recently which was aimed at that was aimed at teaching the techniques and enhancing the knowhow of the game.

NNG president and prominent sports patron Feroze Alam Lari, speaking at the prize distribution ceremony of the weeklong camp, said that NNG Club will continue to play a pivotal role in promotion of basketball from its platform. He also eulogised the support of CM Sindh for sports in Karachi and the rest of the province.

NNG Club’s sports committee chairperson Asma Shah, who is also the chairperson of KHA women’s wing, also addressed the ceremony and was all praise for the players for their enthusiasm.

She was all praise for the state-of-the-art facilities offered by NNG for both indoor and outdoor games which are mainly focused at the promotion of sports at the grass root level.

Asma Shah also announced that on Nov 8, Dr Muhammad Ali Shah Memorial basketball event final will be held at the same venue amid fanfare to pay homage to the late cricket patron and orthopedic surgeon Dr Mohammad Ali Shah.

Club secretary Capt Muhammad Yousuf and KBBA president Ghulam Muhammad also spoke on the occasion.
