The current prevalent pandemic around the world is quite stressful. But with cleanliness and social distancing, we can help stop its spread. I hope my young friends are taking all the precautions their parents are asking them to take; on a lighter note, for those who want to do things in a fun way, today’s site will bring a challenge to handle their leisure hours.

The site I am talking about brings you “the hand washing challenge!” on http://www.learnalberta.ca/content/hehh1/, here, you learn how important is hand washing in your daily life.

The site is animated and runs on Flash Player. If you don’t have Flash, it won’t work. The site welcomes you with six kids, your friends to be. They will accompany you on your hand washing challenge. First, you must choose a friend. After selecting him or her, you are shown a video of washing hands step-by-step in a right way. Your challenge begins right after it, as you must select the activities from using computer, play with a dog, read a book and play outside.

Your friend does the activity for you. During the activity you are asked if it was necessary to wash your hands, your challenge depends on saying yes or no. The next activity is to wash the hands the way it was shown to you earlier. The repeated hand washing activity on the site, before meals and after it, after going to the washroom and after doing some activity make you learn how important hand washing is. The repetition also makes it easy for you to remember and help you do correctly at home as well.

The site is designed for younger children; therefore, it is colourful and vibrant. Kids are sure to become engaged with the friendly characters and learn the importance of hand washing and take the challenge in an easy way.
