RAWALPINDI: The Punjab Home Department has issued a guideline to all divisional police chiefs across the province to ensure foolproof security for Kashmir Solidarity Day.

They have been asked to ensure availability of emergency services including fire brigade, bomb disposal squad and ambulances.

In the wake of prevailing security situation and recent threats, foolproof security arrangements should be made with a comprehensive traffic plan on Kashmir Solidarity Day, the guideline said.

Various political parties, government and non-governmental organizations and other stakeholders will hold seminars, conferences and rallies to express their solidarity with Kashmiris.

The Home Department directive said before start of an event all the venues should be properly scanned and searched by special branch officials, besides placing walkthrough gates and checking individuals with metal detectors.
