LAHORE: Pakistan suffered a 3-2 defeat against Chinese Taipei in the Asian Senior Volleyball Championship.

Chinese Taipei lost the first and third sets before winning 23-25, 25-17, 20-25, 20-18, 11-15.

According to the details provided by the Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) Pakistan’s South Korean coach tried newcomers like Usman Faryad, Fakhar and Bilal as libero to test their abilities since the match had no bearing with Pakistan already through to the next stage.

Pakistan next meet Australia to decide who qualify for the semif-inals, but if Pakistan lose, they will be playing for the playoffs for the 5th-8th positions.

Had Pakistan won against Chinese Taipei, they would have to face the host Iran for the semi-final spot instead of the Australians because Iran are rated a more stronger side.
