PESHAWAR: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that his party will organise million marches in different districts to pave way for toppling the government.

Addressing the meeting of JUI-F executive committee and another event in Peshawar on Thursday, he blamed the government for hatching conspiracy against religious seminaries.

JUI-F provincial chief Maulana Gul Naseeb, Maulana Shujaul Mulk, Abdul Jalil Jan, Mufti Kifayatullah, Maulana Gohar Shah and Maulana Attaul Haq Darvesh spoke on the occasion.

Blames rulers for conspiring against seminaries

The JUI-F chief alleged that rulers were following a foreign agenda to weaken basis of the country but they would not be allowed to do so.

He said that the entire nation was against the government as it was imposed on people. He said that huge participation of people in his party’s marches proved rulers failed to fulfil their commitments.

Mr Rehman said that seminaries always played an effective role in protection of the country, Islamic culture and local civilisation. He said that anti-Islam forces were active to hatch conspiracy against maressahs.

The JUI chief said that the people, who dubbed Muslims as terrorists, should understand that terrorists were working under supervision of the United States but such things were not highlighted in media. He said that it was bad luck of the country that incapable rulers were imposed on it.

“We will not accept the selected government at any cost,” he said and claimed that in the 2018 elections, the nation’s decision was changed in favour of PTI.

Mr Rehman said that his party’s struggle against obscenity and vulgarity would continue vigorously.

He also criticised the government’s economic policy and warned that the steps taken by the ministers would lead the country to the worst kind of economic crisis, inflation and joblessness.

The JUI-F chief also criticised the government’s foreign policy and said that Muslims were being killed throughout the world, especially in India-held Kashmir, Libya, Iraq and Afghanistan but the rulers were unable to issue any strong policy statement at least to condemn the bloodshed.

Mr Rehman also addressed a gathering on eve of golden jubilee of Darul Uloom Hidayatul Islam and announced million march in Khyber tribal district and Hazara division to mobilise people against the government.

“In case of any loss to the nation or the country, the people, who played role in bringing Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf into power, will be responsible and the nation will seek answer from them,” said the JUI-F chief.
