Knowledge is power. The more you read, the more you learn about the world around you and the more powerful you become.

One such source of getting knowledge is through almanac. Whether in form of a book or of a website, it is full of diversified knowledge. So today, we will be exploring the Old Farmer’s Almanac 4 kids — a fun-filled, educational website.

The Old Farmer’s Almanac 4 Kids is a safe site for kids, teens, parents and teachers. Let’s take a closer look at the content it offers.

The homepage is simple, with no ads, so no distraction and no trouble navigating. The main menu is at the left side from where you can choose from the category of your choice, such as “Calendar”, “Sky Watch”, “Weather”, “History”, “Pets”, “Outdoors”, “Puzzles”, etc. All these sections have animated graphics in them, making the tour more exciting, especially for small children.

The titles of the sections are self-explanatory but there are a few things exceptionally remarkable which need to be mentioned. For instance, “Calendar” page tells you about important events and celebrations taking place in the current month. You are also asked a Question of the Day in this section.

Astronomy lovers will find the “Sky Watch” section truly amazing, as it offers information on events and phases of the moon for the current week, full moon names which take place throughout the year, facts about planets, their time of visibility to earth, etc.

The information keeps changing in the “Weather” section, which also contains a weather proverb, word of the week, facts and tells about weather conditions.

One of the amazing features of “History” page is the birthday finder, where you enter your birth date and find out who else (famous personality) shares the same day and date with you. Apart from that, you can also learn about pets kept by famous historical personalities in the section “Pets”.

It is not wrong to say that fun never stops on this site; there is just so much to be explored and be amazed at. You can listen to the sounds of birds of a particular area, and find out the activities that you can do outdoors, jigsaw puzzles, riddles, word searches etc. so what are you waiting for?
