TO the plethora of well-meaning advice for the next government offered from those wiser than me, I add that no party can fix Pakistan’s problems without fully engaging with the people. The failure or success of future policies depends on the people’s active participation.

There is a great reservoir of goodwill for the PTI. They must harness it by setting clear, achievable goals. If the public participates in the execution of these goals, it will make them aware of the difficulties of the job and stave off early disillusionment. Also, if the people are working in solidarity with the PTI, manipulation of any kind by others will be near impossible.
