Centrum Silver

Published January 19, 2018

CENTRUM Silver is being sold by pharmacists in Pakistan across the counter as a multivitamin/multimineral supplement.

The product is manufactured by the world’s largest pharmaceutical which is located in the United States.

According to information printed on the label, one of the ingredients is ‘gelatin’ which is derived from bovine or porcine.

In the Middle East, the same tablet is sold under a ‘Halal no gelatin’ certification. Why isn’t the same product available at our pharmacies?

The newly set up Pakistan Halal Authority should look into the matter.
