PESHAWAR: The Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl on Friday organised protest rallies and meetings across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and tribal areas against US President Donald Trump’s diatribe against Pakistan over fight against terrorism.

In a statement issued here, the JUI-F provincial secretariat said rallies were taken out in all big cities, towns of the province and adjoining tribal areas.

The rallies passed resolutions declaring the US a ‘big terrorist’.

The speakers condemned the remarks of President Trump against Pakistan and demanded the government review its foreign policy.

They said the US and its allies were responsible for chaos and anarchy in Afghanistan, Libya, Myanmar, Syria, Palestine and other parts of the world.

The speakers said President Trump instead of admitting his defeat in Afghanistan had blamed Pakistan for the current crisis in its neighbouring state.

They asked the people to stay united to foil the US designs in the country.

Meanwhile, the JUI-F said it would hold rallies from Sept 8 to Sept 15 across the country against the US.
