SHANGLA: A fire caused by a cylinder blast gutted a house in Alpuri area here on Saturday. However, no human loss was reported.

Local police said that the house of Shahimand in Basi area caught fire after a cylinder explosion. Neighbours took part in the rescue work, but they could control the fire before it completely gutted the house. The inmates had escaped before the flame engulfed the house.

Shahimand told Dawn that he was a daily wager, and demanded of the government to support him financially so that he could rebuild his house.
