TAXILA, June 24: The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) foiled a bid to smuggle a car stolen from Gujrat to Peshawar and arrested an alleged car lifter on Sunday.

The NHMP spokesperson Umar Shoaib told newsmen here at camp office Hassanabdal that during patrolling on motorway, police foiled the bid. He claimed the car-lifter was arrested who was later identified as Tariq Mehmood. The accused was handed over to local police along with the seized vehicle for further legal action.
