KARACHI, April 18: Karachi Bulls (KB) clinched the Southern Zone final of 7th Inter-City Veterans cricket championship by whipping Karachi Leopards (KL) by eight wickets at National Stadium on Sunday. By virtue of their impressive win, KB have also qualified for the national final of the championship which will be played at same venue on April 24.

Opener Imtiaz Safdar hammered 89 and former test batsman Mansoor Akhtar cracked 58 in his team’s win.

KL made to bat first, collected 231 for 5 in their 35 overs and KB romped home for the loss of just two wickets in 33 overs.

Imtiaz Safdar was named man of the match while special awards were given to Raees Ahmed (Player of the tournament), Ashraf Pakhli (Best batsman), Badar Ansari (Best bowler) and M.Rehan (Best wicket-keeper).
