DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The district administration has imposed a ban on pillion riding across Tank district for one month amid security concerns and apprehensions about a possible deterioration in the law and order situation.

According to an order issued by Deputy Commissioner Jamshed Khan under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the ban will remain in force from Oct 10 to Nov 9, 2026.

The order said the measure has been taken to maintain law and order, ensure protection of life and property and deal effectively with potential security threats.

It warned that violators of the order would face legal action under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

The administration has urged residents to comply with the restrictions during the specified period.
