Abdullah Shafique, Saud added to squad

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has added Abdullah Shafique and Saud Shakeel to the Test squad following Abdullah Fazal’s withdrawal from the West Indies series and England tour due to injury.

Abdullah Shafique has been included as Abdullah Fazal’s replacement, while Saud has been added as an additional batting option, a PCB press release said on Sunday.

“Saud Shakeel has also been added to the squad as an additional replacement, providing the team management with another experienced option in the batting department,” read the board’s statement.

Pakistan will travel to England after the two-Test West Indies series for three Tests between Aug 19 and Sept 13.
