ISLAMABAD: A 61-year-old motorcyclist died in a road accident on Srinagar Highway after allegedly being hit from behind by a speeding car on Sunday.
According to initial reports, the accident involved a Suzuki Cultus that hit the motorcycle from the rear.
The deceased was identified as Jamil Akhtar, son of Mohammad Hussain, a resident of Chontra, Islamabad. Police detained the driver of the car for further investigation and legal proceedings.
The driver of the car, who is a doctor, was returning from Multan when the accident occurred.
The body of the deceased was shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) and the victim’s family was informed.
