Over Rs370m taxes collected

TAXILA: Excise and Taxation Department Attock has collected more than Rs370 million in taxes during the current fiscal year and deposited the amount into the national exchequer, Excise and Taxation Officer Farrukh Saeed Butt said while speaking to the media on Tuesday.

Mr Butt added that the tax collection system has been made more convenient, and public issues related to taxation are being addressed promptly.

Providing a breakdown of the collected revenue, he said that Rs178.447 million was collected under property tax, Rs168.969 million under motor vehicle tax, Rs10.188 million under highways tax, Rs17.254 million under professional tax, and Rs297,000 under excise tax.
