SAHIWAL: The Special Judge of Regional Anti-Terrorism Court rejected protective bail of six suspects, including four women, who ran away from the ATC premises some weeks ago.

The six suspects include Touqeer Ahmad, Afadat Ali, Hajan Kaneez Bibi, Saima Zafar, Shaheen Bibi and Rabia Ali.

Amir Sohail, SHO of Chak Badian Police, Pakpattan, confirmed all suspects who had run away from court premises, were arrested for assaulting, harassing, and detaining three officials, including a female staffer of the Punjab Food Authority (PFA), Pakpattan.

The incident occurred on March 31 when the PFA officials visited an unregistered milk collection center in village 67/D to collect samples for testing.

According to police reports, a total of 13 suspects were booked — three identified and 10 unidentified — for their involvement in the attack. The victims included three PFA officers, among them a female officer Aroj Fatima, Muhammad Arsalan and Junaid.

They were allegedly assaulted, publicly humiliated, and held hostage for about 30 minutes by the milk center owner and his accomplices. The assailants snatched Rs 298,000 cash, samples of milk taken from 1,000 liter milk container.

Later Chak Badian Police registered FIR against Fakhar Chadoo (owner of the milk center), Sajad alias Shazada, Gulam Nabi, and 10 unidentified suspects under multiple sections of the Pakistan Penal Code.

The complaint was lodged by Naeem Ahmed, Food Safety Officer, PFA Pakpattan. Chak Badian police arrested nine suspects and conducting raids to trace others.
