The World Health Organisation’s (WHO) regional director for the Eastern Mediterranean, Hanan Balkhy, has given an overview of the Iran war’s impact over its first few weeks, Al Jazeera reports.
Balkhy has said at a media briefing that the fighting has triggered one of the most “far-reaching crises” in recent decades, resulting in more than 3,300 deaths and over 30,000 reported injuries.
Additionally, more than 4.3 million people have been displaced and 116 verified attacks on healthcare facilities have been reported.
