LAHORE: The distribution club is ready to bring the global Punjabi film Shayar to Pakistani screens, offering an exciting fusion of romance, comedy and literary charm.

This highly anticipated film will hit cinemas on Friday (Dec 27) in the Punjab circuit as well as the federal capital, serving as a perfect Christmas gift for audiences and the final Punjabi film to light up theatres in 2024.

Shayar beautifully captures Punjab’s literary and poetic legacy, exploring the contemporary experiences of a young couple.

The film stars the talented Neeru Bajwa and the soulful Satinder Sartaaj in lead roles, supported by notable performances from Yograaj Singh and theatre artist Kewal Dhaliwal.

Sheikh Abid Rasheed, executive director of Distribution Club, said: Shayar is the ideal family entertainer, having passed the Punjab Censor Board’s approval. It promises to offer quality entertainment during the festive season, making it a perfect choice for moviegoers this Christmas and New Year.
