LAHORE: After Johar Town, city’s major housing scheme developed on 3,200 acres in 90s, the record of two more housing projects - Sabzazar scheme and Faisal Town - has been digitised with a view to averting the incidence of tempering, duplication and forgery.

“We have digitised the entire plots’ record related to Sabzazar scheme and Faisal Town. From Dec 26, we will start receiving and processing of the applications online related to property transfer, completion certificates, NOCs,” LDA director (IT) Abdul Basit said while giving a briefing to the participants in a meeting presided over by DG/Lahore Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa.Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Mr Randhawa said reforms are being implemented in LDA on the pattern of the corporate sector.

In the meeting, a detailed briefing was also given about the management and operational issues of LDA Sports Complex. The participants were told that Gulberg Sports Complex is ready and would be opened in the next few days. After Gulberg Sports Complex, Islamia Ground, Sanatnagar, and Tajpura Sports Complex would also be opened soon.

The director (auction), on the occasion, gave a briefing about the marketing of various commercial properties of LDA. Briefing was also given about the progress of revamping the identification cell attached to the LDA One Window.

The chief engineer, additional DGs, chief town planner, directors, senior legal adviser and related officers also participated in the meeting.

LWMC: A Christmas cake-cutting ceremony was organised at Hazoori Bagh, bringing together notable figures.

Lahore Waste Management Company CEO Babar Sahib Din expressed goodwill towards the sanitary workers of the city, saying that over 16,000 staffers have received advance salary along with a bonus for the month of December.

Secretary Dr. Javed Ahmad Qazi lauded the LWMC workers, emphasising their integral role in the festivities and hailing the Christmas event as a testament to religious harmony.

Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Mr Muhammad Ali Randhawa highlighted the collaborative spirit during the Dec 25 celebrations, expressing cooperation between allied departments such as Wasa, LWMC and PHA.
