MIRPURKHAS: A one-year-old girl was killed and around 30 people on board were injured when a van carrying pilgrims hit a footpath and overturned on Mirpurkhas bypass near LBOD on Sunday.
The van was transporting many families to their homes in Tandojam after their visit to the shrine of Saman Sarkar in Jhuddo town.
The victims belonged to the Lashari community. They were provided emergency medical treatment at the Mirpur-khas District Headquarters Hospital, where doctors referred five patients to a major hospital in Hyderabad due to their critical condition.
