KHUZDAR: Four people were killed and 31 injured in firing and road accidents in Khuzdar district on Sunday.

Police officials said a passenger coach coming from Panjgur overturned in the Naal area of Khuzdar district when the driver lost control of the long-body vehicle at a sharp turn, resulting in the killing two passengers, identified as Mukhtar Ahmed and Abdul Rahim. Seven people were injured in the accident.

The passengers who lost their lives in the accident belonged to Panjgur. Their bodies were later handed over to family members.

In another incident, a Quetta-bound passenger bus coming from Karachi fell into a seasonal stream due to speeding. The accident left 24 passengers injured.

Levies and police officials reached the area and shifted the injured to Khuzdar district hospital.

In another accident, a minor girl was killed in Sultanabad area of Khuzdar town after she was hit by a tractor.

In a firing incident, some armed men on motorbikes shot dead a man near Jhalawan complex. The victim was identified as Karimullah.The cause of the killing could not be known.
