DADU: A woman who came to settle a quarrel between two brothers over Eid expenses was shot dead by her husband in Khuda Ki Basti, Kotri.

Mir Hassan had asked his brother Mian Bux for money for Eid shopping, but the demand led to a bitter argument.

Zainab, 30, wife of Mian Bux, tried to pacify them. But her husband did not like her effort and killed her.

The two brothers fled after the incident.

Mian Bux also escaped with his two children and the deceased’s mother, Mst Bano.

Police took shifted the body to the district headquarters hospital.

Woman’s body found

A woman’s body was found in Indus River in the remit of Mahi Otho area police station near Bhan Town.

The woman was identified as Mst Rukhsana Halipoto.

According to Mahi Otho police, torture marks were found on the body of Rukhsana Halipoto.

The Mahi Otho SHO said the body was thrown in the river after killing her somewhere else.
