PESHAWAR: The Federal Investigation Agency’s commercial banking circle on Monday arrested three persons for running illegal Hundi Hawala business.

The arrests were made during a raid in the provincial capital on Money. The FIA team also recovered Rs30.2 million from their procession.

FIA officials said they had received information about three persons running illegal Hundi Hawala business in Peoples Colony of the interior city.

“A raid was conducted on their location and three persons were arrested,” a senior FIA official said, adding cases were registered against the accused under relevant sections of the law.

Meanwhile, the agency’s immigration wing arrested a man at the Bacha Khan International Airport for trying to travel to Saudi Arabia on a fake visa.
