Sometimes, I come across websites that are literally out of the ordinary, and yes, I save them for later use. And recently, I came across a site which really made my world of measurements and dimensions so easy that I was stunned to read all the information in one place.

The site was www.measurmentknowhow.com — the place where you can learn everything about dimensions and measurements of things that are present around us.

At first, I thought it would be a typical site showing the angles and all the calculations … but no, the site is simple with easy descriptions of things, including pictures and diagrams where necessary and everything is explained briefly but clearly. The site is ad-free and has a clean interface with a menu at the top with two main categories “Measurements” and “Dimensions” to choose from.

In the ‘dimensions’ section, you can select from sports, vehicles, food and drink, home and garden, apparel footwear and accessories, entertainment, money, stationary and office supplies and business. While from ‘measurements’, you can select sizes of things, weight of things and value of things, almost all those things are present around us.

Let me give you an example, if you choose ‘Entertainment’ from ‘Dimensions’, you can read about cassette tape dimensions, or typical dice size, guitar neck size, shapes and guidelines; on the food side, you are explained about standard chip bag sizes, bottle cap guideline, can dimensions and a lot more.

And if you choose sizes of things from ‘measurements’, you can go through topics like, ‘what is the cubic foot’ or in weight, there are topics like ‘how to measure a gram without scale’. And lastly, in terms of calculating the value of things, you can explore topics like how much a pound of aluminium, copper and silver are worth.

There are a lot of topics taken from our daily life, things which are present around us and about which we sometimes wonder about their sizes and weight. So if you want to know the dimensions of a crosswalk, the shipping container size, or even Falcon 9 dimensions, don’t waste a single minute, just visit: www.measurmentknowhow.com
