Mind your commas and full stops!

This is with reference to the article “Mind your commas and full stops!” by Rizwana Naqvi (YW, September 24). This article explained the importance of punctuation marks in writing. Most of us think punctuation marks don’t play a great role but in reality, they convey the right message to its readers. If punctuation marks are used at wrong places, the sentence may mislead and convey a totally different message. So, we must learn to use appropriate punctuation.

2022 floods, a living nightmare

This is with reference to the article, “2022 floods, a living nightmare” by Benazir Raz (YW, September 17). The article was well-written and highlighted the severe problems that Pakistan is facing, particularly in Sindh.

Although a natural disaster, with better management plans, the extent of destruction could have been reduced.

We must step forward and help the flood affected people in this sorrowful time of their lives. The government should take better steps for the assistance of those affected people on emergency basis. May God give them patience and resilience in this traumatic time of their lives.

Common mistakes freelancers make

This is with reference to the article, “Common mistakes freelancers make” by Ambreen Arshad (YW, July 23).

I think every freelancer should read this article. Freelancing has become the most popular occupation in the world, notably among students, homemakers and professionals in Pakistan. Everyone discusses how to do freelancing on social media and in print media, but none discusses the criteria and typical pitfalls of freelancing.

The writer has brought up an essential point, and such an article was much needed. In this regard, this article provides proper guidance to freelancers as they can easily learn and avoid the common mistakes from the very start.

The benefits of saving money as a kid

This is regarding the cover story “The benefits of saving money as a kid,” by Faraz Ahmed (YW August 27). I agree with all the suggestions of the writer.

Saving money while we are still young has numerous benefits that can help us reach our financial goals later on in life. The habit of saving money can make us a responsible citizen and a responsible family member. Times are hard on everyone, I think we all should take heed and save as much as possible.
