Let’s uphold our legacy

This is with reference to the cover article, “Let’s uphold our legacy” (YW, August 13) by Zara Naz. I appreciate the writer for elaborating about the essence of Independence Day.

Independence is a great blessing but, unfortunately, most of us have forgotten its significance. I appreciate the writer for making useful suggestions for not only students and citizen, but also for politicians and women of this country. And it is rightly said that politicians have the power and money, so they should think and work for the benefit of this country first, instead of their own.

It is our utmost responsibility to give back to our motherland in every possible way.

Dreams that changed the world

This is regarding the cover article “Dreams that changed the world” by Faraz Ahmed (YW, August 20). I loved the information given in the article.

It was rightly said that our dreams are a powerful way to process information and often we get an idea from our dreams. The examples were clearly mentioned and all the information in the article was truly inspiring because with courage and dreams, we can make the impossible into the possible.

The cover article “Dreams that changed the world” by Faraz Ahmed was wonderful. I never thought of dreams in this way before and also the information given in the article was interesting.

Usually the images we see in our dreams are bits of our daily life or something significant that has happened during the day. Sometimes dreams offer important insight into how we view ourselves and others, our problems and conflicts, and the world in general.

Therefore, we often get another perspective of things that we have never thought about before. We can see that a lot of inventions have been conceived in dreams.

Uniforms — to have or not to have?

This is with reference to the article “Uniforms — to have or not to have?” by Zara Ahmed (YW, August 20). I liked the article very much and all the points given were accurate.

Uniforms show unity and add to the pride of one’s institution. Uniforms also develop community spirit and equality among those wearing it.

Another advantage of wearing uniforms is that it can cut down on bullying related to one’s outfit.
