If you are bored of taking the typical diary or notebook with you, then today’s craft is definitely for you as we are giving a new face to your ordinary looking diary, or notebook. You can show your creativity and personalise it even more, but let’s a make candy jar today.
Things you need:
- Foam sheet (one A-4-sized single colour)
- Pieces of foam sheet
- Scissors
- White glue
- Hot glue (optional)
- Pencil
- Piece from transparent plastic sheet
- Coloured piece of paper to highlight the jar
Directions:
Measure the size of your diary on an A-4-sized foam sheet; picture 2.
Cover your diary or notebook, then carefully paste the foam sheet on it; picture 3.
Cut the plastic piece, mine is 3 inches long, and 2.5 inches wide, picture 4.
Cut the coloured paper according to the size of the jar, but a little big, picture 5.
Cut out small circles from the pieces of foam sheet, all in round shape, picture 6.
Taking the help from an elder, put these circles on the hot plate of iron for a few seconds, you will notice, the circles to shrink in size; pictures 7 and 8.
Paste the sides and the bottom of the plastic jar diagonally on the diary; picture 9.
Insert some shrunken circles inside and some on top, giving the feel that the candies are oozing out form the jar, picture 10.
Secure the top of jar with glue, then paste the remaining circles around the jar. Write your personalised note or leave it that way.
