SWABI: Two persons were killed and as many injured when a passenger coach coming from Rawalpindi to Topi met an accident here on Monday, the police said.

They said the deceased were identified as Moazzam Khan of Gandaf and Noorul Hadi of Topi.

Separately, two persons entered a house and stabbed a man to death in Topi, the police said quoting a brother of the deceased, Amjad.

The police identified the suspected attackers as Misal Khan and Mohammad Javed, residents of Khanda area.

Unknown persons shot dead Shahzeb while he was on way home in a car in Zaida area.

Similarly, unknown gunmen killed Omar Khan of Kotha village at the Topi bus stand.

Also in the day, body of an unidentified man was found along the Topi Bypass Road.

The police shifted the body to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Topi.

THREE WITH CHARAS ARRESTED: The police arrested three drug smugglers and recovered over 10 kilogrammes of charas from them in separate actions on Monday.

District police officer Mohammad Shoaib Khan said the police stopped a suspected person near the Dagai route and recovered over four kilogrammes of charas from him. The smuggler was identified as Salman Khan.

SHO Swabi city Altaf Khan said the police recovered over three kilogrammes of charas from a man near the Saleem Khan bus stop. The trafficker was identified as Rab Nawaz Khan.

DSP Chota Lahor said the police arrested a man identified as Shah Hussain and recovered three kilogrammes of charas from him.
