Corinne Tan as 2022 ‘Girl of the Year’ doll

American Girl (an 18-inch doll line) has unveiled its 2022 Girl of the Year, Corinne Tan. The character, a Chinese-American girl living in Aspen, Colorado, enjoys skiing, being an older sibling to her sister Gwynn, and training her puppy. Gwynn is also available as a companion doll.

“We created Corinne to be a positive role model our fans can look up to and learn from as we all work towards a world where everyone is treated fairly and with respect,” American Girl general manager Jamie Cygielman said in a press release.

“While filled with outdoor adventure and fun, Corinne’s message is, ultimately, about the power of love — between families, friends, and communities — and the strength and courage that comes from it,” she added.

Dwayne won’t return for more Fast & Furious

Dwayne Johnson is maintaining his vow to never appear in another Fast & Furious movie with Vin Diesel.

Diesel took to social media in November to invite Johnson back to the franchise after the two had a falling out several years ago. But Johnson was surprised by Diesel’s post, since he believed they had already settled the matter away from the spotlight.

“This past June, I told him directly, and privately, that I would not be returning to the franchise. I was firm yet cordial with my words and said that I would always be supportive of the cast and always root for the franchise to be successful, but that there was no chance I would return,” Johnson said in an interview.

Timbaland collaborating with Timberlake?

It looks like Timbaland and Justin Timberlake have been working on some new music together.

Timbo posted a video of him, JT and Ant Clemons — who performed Better Days alongside Timberlake during the Celebrating America concert, “Soon to come,” the Verzuz co-creator captioned the snippet with a series of suspicious eye emojis.

So whatever the duo has in mind, the fans of Timbaland and JT can cross their fingers for their amazing collaboration to happen. Timbo and JT reunited this past spring on Justine Skye’s latest album Space and Time, which Timbaland executive produced.
