Bus lulls passengers to sleep

A Hong Kong tour company is offering a unique solution to help stressed-out passengers get some rest — a five-hour bus ride to nowhere.

Ulu Travel is offering tickets to the longest bus route in Hong Kong, traveling 47 miles around the Tuen Mun highway and North Lantau Island on the “uninterrupted sleeping bus.”

Passengers can choose among four types of cabins on the double-decker bus, with ticket prices ranging from $13 to $51. The itinerary offers a “food coma lunch” and stops at various scenic sites and drop-off locations.

Passengers meet at a restaurant for a two-course western meal before boarding the bus to start sleeping. Stops include Ho Wo Street, Butterfly Beach, Tuen Mun Chek Lap Kok Tunnel and Inspiration Lake.


A 2,164-pound green squash sets world record

A pair of Ohio farmers took their 2,164-pound green squash to a giant vegetable competition and walked away with a world record.

Todd and Donna Skinner have been growing pumpkins and squash for nearly 30 years.

They knew their green squash was going to be impressive at the Oakland Nursery National Pumpkin Weigh-Off in Dublin, but they were stunned to see it tip the scales at 2,164 pounds.

Oakland Nursery said the Skinners are now world record holders for the heaviest green squash.


‘World’s biggest snake’ lifted by crane from rainforest

An incredible footage was shared on social media, showing a 10ft snake hoisted off the ground by a digger.

The colossal beast appears to have been found by workers clearing part of the Dominica rainforest. Another video shared on the same account shows the snake crammed in a cage with a man attempting to pull it out and move it into a car boot.

Several people join in to help lift the heavy beast, which is eventually tucked into the back of the car. It is yet not clear what type of snake it was.

Dominica, in the Caribbean, has been dubbed ‘the Nature Island’ thanks to its array of wildlife. Native to the island is the deadly boa constrictor, which can grow up to 13ft. The largest snakes in the world belong to the python and boa families.
