The disastrous world of the smartphone

This is regarding the article “The disastrous world of the smartphone” by Aqsa Wazeer (YW, September 4). It was a great article regarding the bad effects of using smartphones excessively by kids, as well as teens. The advice given in the article was worth following.

In my opinion, utilising time in surfing aimlessly on cellphones, checking others’ status, etc., is all but a waste of time.

Today’s youth spend more time on the cellphone than focusing on their studies and this is the main reason for most of their behavioural problems, health issues and falling academic performance.

I hope YW will keep publishing articles like this to highlight issues that have negative effects and those which bring positive change in our young generation’s thoughts and personality.

Beauty of relationships

This is regarding the article “Beauty of relationships” by Ayesha llyas (YW, September 11). The article focussed on relationships — the most important thing in one’s life.

Every relation, like that of parents, siblings, friends, grandparents, cousins and neighbours, has its own value and place in life.

We should therefore give equal importance to them.

Nonetheless, no words can describe the value of these relations.

Young World

It’s been years since I started reading Young World — the magazine so close to my heart. Every section is unique and marvellous.

It has all the things a reader wants to read in a magazine, for instance, poems, stories, news, jokes, facts, and we also get to learn how to make scrumptious snacks and wonderful crafts.

I hope YW will always provide us with amazing stuff to enhance our knowledge.

Jealousy burns

This is regarding the cover article, “Jealousy burns” by Faraz Ahmed (YW, September 18). Though all of us know what jealousy is, there are times when we experience this inevitable emotion within us with a lot of intensity.

The writer explained how we can control ourselves from getting jealous of anyone.

The article also elaborated the negative impacts of this emotion on our daily life and on our close relationships.
