Instilling intelligence into machines

This is regarding the cover article, “Instilling intelligence into machines” by Rahul Karamat Barlaas (YW, July 24).

The article excellently described the concept of AI, and provided an intriguing curiosity for many young science-craving minds to dig deeper into this vast and diverse field of artificial intelligence.

The number of science and technology geeks is growing day by day, which is why I am imploring you to publish articles and activities related to this topic more often, I believe, everyone would enjoy it.

No doubt, Young World is a remarkable magazine and every section is unique.

However, I have noticed that a lot of things published focus on girls only. For instance, the section on cooking is outstanding but there should be recipes according to the interests of boys; similarly, boys’ interests in crafts section are ignored as well.

Therefore, it is my request to the YW to give space to articles and activities related to boys’ interests.

Friendship and its shades

This is with reference to the article “Friendship and its shades” by Tanzila Asim Zafar (YW, July 17). The article elaborated on friendship in a fascinating way that reminded me of my school days.

In my opinion, a good friend is a gift from God. Good friends always help us in our troubles and stand by us like a shadow. Without friends, life is nothing but a big blank page.

I loved reading the article “Friendship and its shades” by Tanzila Asim Zafar.

I consider myself lucky to be surrounded by loving and supportive friends; hence, I can say true friends play a very important part in shaping our lives.

They give us support and confidence, and fill our lives with happiness. This article made me realise the importance of friends in my life.

I agree with most of the views of Tanzila Asim Zafar in her article “Friendship and its shades”.

However, I want to add that we should be very careful in choosing friends because friends inspire and leave a lasting impression on our lives.

Good friends with positive vibes boost our positivity, while friends having bad habits leave a negative impact. Thus, it is important to choose friends with a good reputation or at least those having positive habits.
