Macaroni & cheese-flavoured ice cream

Brooklyn-based Van Leeuwen Ice Cream created the Kraft Macaroni & Cheese-flavoured ice cream, according to a Kraft Heinz Company statement.

“We know that there is nothing more refreshing on a hot summer day than ice cream,” Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Sr. Associate Brand Manager Emily Violett said in the statement. “That is why we wanted to combine two of the most iconic comfort foods to create an ice cream with the unforgettable flavour of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese we all grew up with.”

This limited-edition ice cream had an “overwhelming response,” according to an Instagram post, and was sold out in no time.

Italian brothers grow world’s heaviest cherry

A pair of Italian brothers broke a Guinness World Record when a cherry they grew on their farm weighed in at 1.16 ounces. Alberto and Giuseppe Rosso, in Pecetto Torinese, grew the cherry, from the Carmen variety. Their family has been growing cherries for more than a century.

“For some years now, we have noticed that our Carmen cherries are Guinness World Record size and this year we decided to do things right and called a panel of experts,” Alberto Rosso told la Repubblica.

The cherry’s weight was confirmed by Italy’s National Institute of Metrological Research, enough to take the record from a .93-ounce cherry grown in Italy in February.

Woman finds 18 snakes under her bed

A Georgia woman investigating made a far more startling discovery — 18 snakes under her bed. Trish Wilcher was in her bedroom in her family’s Augusta home when she spotted something on the floor. Wilcher and her husband, Max, soon discovered a baby snake — and 16 more babies underneath the bed, along with their mother.

Wilcher posted photos of the snake family on Facebook. Max Wilcher used a grabber tool to pick up each snake and placed it in a bag. The snakes were later released at a nearby creek.

A wildlife trapper, who confirmed the reptiles were nonvenomous garter snakes, visited the home the next day and concluded there were no more serpents inside.
