Money can’t buy happiness

This is with reference to the story “Money can’t buy happiness” by Laiba Khan (YW, June 26). It is rightly described in the story that no matter how rich you are, if your loved ones are away, you can’t be happy and even the luxuries won’t give you peace of mind.

Having all the loved ones and their blessings in your life is all you should have because you can buy things with money, but not love and peace of mind.

Stop bullying

This is with reference to the article “Stop bullying” by Aliza Hameed (YW, June 26). Bullying is the worst way of mistreating or harassing someone. It is prevalent across the world in every institution, workplace, gatherings, etc. and children, as well as adults, all become victims of this evil behaviour.

However, the only way to stop this cruel attitude is to face the bully bravely and not be afraid. If you stay quiet today, they will always be mistreating people freely. So stop them today by not turning away, but staying brave in their face.

Local buses in Karachi

Karachi is notorious for the condition, speed and loud honks of its local buses. These buses are broken, damaged and in an unpleasant condition.

One wonders how they keep moving in the city and why the government is not doing something in this regard.

Unfortunately, their high speed is the main cause behind many accidents on a daily basis. In addition, the annoying horns disturb everyone.

The bus drivers don’t bother even when passing hospitals, schools or mosques. They speed away and keep blowing loud horns.

Many bus drivers are reckless and always in a rush, thus giving no heed to pedestrians or commuters, and the risk their lives.

The government must implement certain rules for these local buses. Drivers must be charged for driving at high speed and using horns uselessly.

Mango iced-tea

This is regarding the section Cook-it-yourself ‘Mango iced-tea’ by Aamnah Arshad (YW, July 3). I loved the mango iced-tea recipe.

Mango is a fruit that almost everyone loves to have in one form or the other. This section is very interesting as it always has scrumptious recipes, which are easy to prepare single-handedly.

I request the writer to provide us with easy tea time snack recipes, because it is the time when most family members want to enjoy a little treat with the tea.
