Toys and games are an important part of every day in a child’s life. Don’t you love toys and doing various fun activities?

There is no doubt in it, whether battery-operated, plush, fabric or even those from the paper, toys are more than just fun. And it becomes even more fantastic if you create something from your own hand.

So today’s craft is a fun activity and an amazing toy that you can create from paper strips and play any time. Why spend lots of money on buying new toys when you can have fun with DIY toys and games that cost so little?

Things you need:

  1. Coloured papers (five different colours)

  2. Glue stick

  3. Bottle cap

  4. Scissors

  5. A plain stick (you can use barbecue skewer)

Directions:

  1. Cut circles from the paper (the size of a bottle cap), then poke holes in the centre of both the circles, see pictures 2 and 3.

  2. Cut ten thin strips from the coloured papers, two of each colour, (0.5cm wide, 8-inches long), picture 4.

  3. Paste glue or use double tape on the paper circle, then carefully place one end of the strips on it, covering the entire circle, see picture 5.

  4. When the strips have covered one circle, paste the other end of these strips on the second circle while carefully holding the top, see pictures 6 and 7.

  5. Insert stick from the hole of any circle, picture 8.

  6. Let the stick come out from the second hole, which will supposedly be the top, pictures 9 and 10.

  7. The toy is ready; twist it to see how these strips create colourful magic.
