Ice cream stick planes

I am an old reader of YW, I like reading all the articles, stories and poems. But I enjoy the Wonder craft section more, and this is with reference to the “Ice cream stick planes” by Asif Ali (YW, April 3). I really enjoyed this craft, I made planes from ice cream sticks and pasted them in a corner of my room; they look amazing!

I appreciate the contributor for showing and giving us nice and fun DIYs and I hope he will be providing us with more amazing DIYS in the future as well.

Be unique, be you!

This is regarding the story “Be unique, be you!” by Linta

Mustafa (YW, May 15). The story was nice as it suggested that our focus should be on one thing and that is not to be the jack-of-all-trades, rather we should master something that is particularly important to us.

Usually, we try to be good in everything that others do and forget that we may be good at something else.

This is where we need to bring change and appreciate our qualities and abilities.

Avoid backbiting

This is with reference to the article “Avoid backbiting” by Aroosha Salahuddin (YW, May 8). The writer highlighted one of the common ill practices that need to be avoided at all costs. People who backbite are oblivious of the fact that they are only harming themselves in the act.

I really appreciate the good efforts of the YW team for publishing articles which are enriched with good lessons and help us in everyday life.

Mums and us

This is with reference to the article, “Mums and us” by Ambreen Arshad (YW, May 8, 2021). I found this article very interesting as it was not the typical piece about what mothers do for us; instead, it focused on us kids, on what we do for our mothers, the various types of children.

So, it was really interesting to look at a mother and child relationship from a different angle — from her perspective and how we treat mothers.

The great escape

This is regarding the story, “The great escape” by Minal Zubair (YW, June 12). The story gave a message that we should never trust a stranger and believe what he/she says, since we are living in such a world where people are selfish and do anything for their benefit. It is always good to stay away from them and not get hurt.
