CHAGAI: Balochistan Minister for Communications and Works Mir Mohammad Arif Mohammad Hasni has said that the government is working hard to provide basic facilities in the far-flung areas of the province.

He expressed these views while talking to tribesmen and residents of Nokkundi and Taftan after laying the foundation of a 25-bed hospital in Taftan and a cricket stadium in Nokkundi.

He also inaugurated several water supply schemes in these areas and a rest house at the Dilaram area of Saindak.

The minister said despite being an important border town Taftan had been ignored in past.

Anti-polio campaign

A five-day polio eradication campaign was launched in Chagai, Kharan, Washuk and Nushki districts of Rakhshan Division on Sunday.

The polio campaign in Balochistan was postponed twice owing to government employees’ protest.
