A doctor’s appeal

Published

PAKISTAN is a country which has had a string of governments that made political promises, but never delivered the goods. Provision of employment has been a major promise of every party till it gets a chance to head a government.

As things stand, almost 9,000 doctors are left unemployed only in Punjab. These are uncertain times and the rest of the world is recruiting doctors to combat Covid-19, whereas our government has put a ban on new appointments of doctors across Punjab.

The prime minister should intervene personally and provide some respite to those who have spent a huge amount of money and years in the field of medicine.
