Incredibly easy, but so delicious, this Nutella puff pastry danish recipe has a crunchy, yet smooth, chocolate taste in every bite. But honestly, I have never ended up with anything not worth gushing over whenever I have used premade puff pastry dough or Nutella, for that matter.

And with both these incredibly versatile and easy-to-use ingredients, you just can’t go wrong or spend too much time making something.

There are just these two ingredients being basically used here, but we are also using some powdered sugar and an egg to sprinkle and brush the dough, for extra taste and glaze.

Also note that you don’t have to always use Nutella for this since it is a bit expensive now, you can use any other chocolate spread from a local brand.

Let’s get right into making these super delicious and easy bites to add warmth to the cold winter days.

Ingredients

• Puff pastry dough

• Nutella or any chocolate spread

• 3 tablespoons powdered sugar

• 1 egg for brushing

Method

Preheat oven to 400F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, set aside.

I cut the puff pastry dough into half, for a more manageable rolling process since my rolling board isn’t too big. Roll it into a rectangular sheet.

Whisk the egg and brush the dough with the whisked egg. Sprinkle with half the sugar and cut into squares.

Spoon about 1 tablespoon of Nutella in the middle of each square. If you are making smaller squares, spoon only 1/2 tablespoon on each. Pinch two opposite ends of each square firmly and flatten the pinched ends. Brush with the remaining egg and sprinkle the top with the remaining sugar.

Bake at 400F for 12-15 minutes, rotating the baking sheet halfway through until pastries are deep golden in colour.
