Khyber Teaching Hospital resumes OPD services with SOPs

PESHAWAR: The MTI Khyber Teaching Hospital on Tuesday resumed OPD services with SOPs after four months suspension.

A decision to this effect was made by the Board of Governors, according to a press release issued here.

The management has taken all the steps for resuming the services in accordance with the laid down SOPs to prevent the Covid-19 infections.

No one without mask will be allowed to enter the hospital and a patient will be accompanied by only one attendant. There will be two screening triages one in the accident and emergency department and the other in the old male OPD. The patients have been asked to contact doctors in the cardiology, pulmonology, dermatology, psychiatry, ophthalmology and ENT wards for examination.

The slips can be obtained from the main OPD counters for check-ups in ophthalmology, otolaryngology (ENT), gynaecology & obstetrics, medicine, urology, neurosurgery, paeds surgery, orthopaedic, general surgery and paediatrics triage screening, the release said.

Slips for cardiology, pulmonology, dermatology, psychiatry, nephrology, plastic surgery triage screening will be made from the accident and emergency counters.

Gynaecology and obstetrics OPD with ultrasound will be available in female general OPD, whereas patients with medical problems can obtain slips from male general OPD.
