PESHAWAR: The Awami National Party on Saturday restored the basic membership of senior lawyer Abdul Latif Afridi, who was expelled from the party about 10 months ago on charges of indiscipline.

A statement issued here said ANP provincial president Aimal Wali Khan restored the basic membership of Mr Afridi after a meeting attended by Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour, MPA Khushdil Khan Advocate and other leaders.4

ANP had terminated the basic membership of Latif Afridi after he did not respond to a show-cause notice issued to him on August 23, 2019, for violating the party discipline. Latif Afridi had appealed to the party head Asfandyar Wali Khan for restoration of his party membership.
